If you travel to Russia on a cruise ship, you should know that you do not need a Russian visa itself. There are special rules for cruise passengers.
It will be enough to have a tourist invitation from one of the Russian tourist agencies. In the invitation city and cruise name should be written.
Usually cruise ship can stay in port not more than 2 days. That means that you are allowed to go ashore from the ship for this period.
